Sloth Fight is my illustration-a-day project, started on January 1st, 2010. I often regret not drawing more, especially more varied things, so I figured this was a good method to force myself to be more prolific.
All drawings I do here are actually quite small, only 2.5" by 3.5" and I try not to spend more than an hour on each. No masterpieces will be coming out of this endeavor, but I'm hoping it'll help to keep my skills growing and maybe I'll get some new ideas out of it. Or at least, that's what I tell myself whenever I balk at scanning in something extra bad. So far I've been using gouache paint to also help me improve my skills with it and suss out new techniques. The media might flucuate some, depending on the circumstances.
Note: I don't actually want to beat up sloth, see, it's a metaphor for lazyness! ...Ok, now I do kinda want to beat up a sloth, it just seems like it'd be a good self-esteem boost.
